The RI-SCALE consortium will be at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2026 in Vienna from 3 to 8 May. EGU is one of the largest gatherings of geoscientists worldwide, bringing together experts and early-career researchers from all disciplines of Earth, planetary, and space sciences to share research, discuss new ideas, and foster collaborations. Visit us at EGI booth #05, where we will showcase our Data Exploitation Platform approach alongside partner projects and initiatives.
RI-SCALE is enabling scalable, AI-driven reuse of large datasets generated by Research Infrastructures such as ENES (climate and environmental data) and EISCAT (radar observations and space weather data). At EGU26, we will present a use case from environmental sciences, demonstrating AI-based downscaling of climate projections to create high-resolution datasets for agriculture and insurance applications. This illustrates how DEPs bring computation, AI tools, and analysis directly to RI data, unlocking actionable insights while supporting FAIR and reproducible Open Science.
We are also happy to explain how other environmental RIs from the ENVRI community can become part of the RI-SCALE ecosystem and participate in pilot projects to validate the platforms, explore AI applications, and unlock new research and reuse pathways for their data. If your RI generates large datasets but lacks computing resources or AI tools, RI-SCALE can help transform your data into scalable, reusable research assets.
Join us at the EGI booth to learn more about our platforms, explore our environmental use cases, and discuss opportunities to collaborate with RI-SCALE.
