What It Is

The Competence Centre supports the co-development of advanced, AI-enabled research infrastructure services by:

  • Building expertise in AI and data exploitation

  • Facilitating co-design workshops on RI-SCALE’s key technologies

  • Supporting technical and scientific validations through developer events

It connects a vibrant network of RIs, e-Infrastrucutres, compute centres, academia, and industry to drive innovation across environmental and health sciences, and beyond.

What You’ll Gain

  • New Skills: Access trainings, webinars, and hands-on sessions tailored to RI needs in AI, data science, and FAIR data practices.
  • Shared Innovation: Collaborate on real use cases and pilot deployments, co-develop scalable solutions, and influence the evolution of RI-SCALE technologies.

  • Stronger Connections: Join a growing network of European and national nodes, SMEs, spin-offs, and EDIHs collaborating across the research and innovation ecosystem.

  • Open and Sustainable Impact: Benefit from open-source technologies, shared learning resources, and community-driven development models.

Who Should Get Involved?

  • Research Infrastructures looking to scale up AI capabilities, integrate new tools, or validate models

  • e-Infrastructures and Compute Centres supporting the deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance environments for data processing and AI training
  • Project Partners collaborating on technical development, validation, and alignment across work packages

  • SMEs and Startups interested in testing cutting-edge technologies and contributing to co-design

  • Universities and Spin-offs eager to engage in collaborative innovation and joint training efforts

  • Trainers and Researchers focused on building capacity in AI, HPC, and trusted data workflows
